Athletic Equestrian Clinics with Sally Batton
Sally Batton was Director of Riding at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and Head Coach of the Varsity Equestrian Team for 30 years. She was named the American Riding Instructor's Association 2008 Instructor of the Year, was awarded the 2013 Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association(IHSA) Lifetime Achievement Award, was inducted in the 2020 IHSA Hall of Fame class and is the Founder of the Athletic Equestrian League. In 2022 Sally Batton’s book The Athletic Equestrian was published and helps riders, whether competing in the show ring or riding on the trail to be more secure and balanced in the saddle. In 2024 her book Equicize was published, a unique series of progressive, mounted exercises that improves cardiovascular and muscular fitness for riders of all abilities and levels. Batton's proven programs use highly effective exercises honed over Coach Sally’s 35 year coaching career.
Hunter/Jumper Clinics
A lifelong horsewoman, Sally brings a broad range of experience to her clinics. With over 30 years coaching collegiate riders and teaching riders of all ages and abilities, Sally's clinic participants benefit from her wealth of knowledge of horses and horsemanship.
Polocrosse Clinics
Sally is the author of the first book published on the sport, Polocrosse: Australian Made, Internationally Played. Sally has completed polocrosse and jumping clinics at Alaska, Hawaii and New England Pony Clubs and riding centers and references are available on request. Sally was named as the coach for the United States Polocrosse Team U16.
Equicize Clinics
Equicize incorporates mounted strength building, stretches and biomechanical awareness which improves cardiovascular and muscular fitness for riders of all ages.
